In a tweet, Bitcoin Archive stated that Launch Cart will be integrating Lightning Network payments, Bitcoin’s second layer that utilizes micropayment channels to enhance the blockchain’s ability to transfer more efficiently.

According to the press release, this new feature of Launch Cart’s platform aims to abolish fraud issues by leveraging instantaneous and immutable payments through Bitcoin’s Lightning Network. By eliminating intermediaries from the processes, businesses could save time and fees. In addition, businesses would no longer need technical experience with Bitcoin to accept it as payment because the feature comes with an automatic fiat conversion to local currencies.

The CEO of Launch Cart, Greg Writer, expressed how thrilled he was with the firm’s collaboration and how they could help their customers. He said:

“We are super excited to give our customers the ability to accept Bitcoin using OpenNode and the Lighting Network.”

Writer pointed out that accepting Bitcoin as a payment method will help Launch Cart develop to “become the leader with our On-Demand platform and Source and Sell Marketplace,” globally.

Launch Cart seeks to ease businesses as well as customers’ hindrance to enter with eCommerce for as low upfront costs as possible. In parallel with Launch Cart’s goal, OpenNode aims to ease businesses and customers who desire to associate with cryptocurrencies.

“We feel we are a great partner for OpenNode to help them with their mission to empower and connect the world with Bitcoin,” Launch Cart’s CEO explained.

Meanwhile, Launch Cart will also launch an integrated dropship marketplace named “Source and Sell.” This will allow eCommerce stores to list products at a wholesale price. With Source and Sell, businesses can list products minus upfront inventory costs, backend fulfilment, or supply chain logistics.
