Binance announces a donation of $100 in the form of its native token $BNB to each of its users affected by the earthquake that shook Turkey recently. Looks like its CEO, CHangpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao is keen on fulfilling the brand’s corporate social responsibility.

Responses to the tweet above shows how the Twitter crypto community commends CZ and Binance for its initiative. Binance has always been an avid supporter and has never failed to lend a helping hand to its users, especially in times of need.

Binance posted a blog with additional details. The gist of which concludes how the company is offering support to those affected by the recent earthquake in Turkey by airdropping $100 worth of BNB to users residing in the affected regions.

In detail, identification of these users will be done through Proof of Address completed in ten cities that were hit hardest by the natural calamity. Binance estimates the total donations will reach $5 million.

CZ made a statement

The recent earthquakes in Turkey have had a devastating impact on so many people and communities. We hope that our efforts will bring some relief to those affected. We are also calling on our industry peers to once again come together to offer support in these times of crisis

Therefore, Binance says it will accept donations in the form of BTC, ETH, BNB, BUSD, and XRP to a public donation address set up by Binance Charity. These funds will then be given to an authorized NGO to help those in need.

Thus, CZ encourages the industry to come together and offer support. As always, Binance is committed to helping its community and is working on additional ways to assist. For more information, visit Binance Charity’s Emergency Earthquake Appeal.
