A very popular Hollywood actor lost his patience over a joke that might have gone a little too far, which made this year’s 94th Academy Awards unforgettable.
Read CRYPTONEWSLAND onActor Will Smith had a little argument with actor and standup comedian Chris Rock, who’s presenting an award on stage. It started when Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett’s alopecia, an autoimmune condition that causes extreme hair loss. At first, Smith was seen laughing at the joke, but a few seconds after he went up on stage and slapped Rock. Smith followed up by shouting at Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out yo f*****g mouth.” Later that evening, Smith won the Best Actor Oscar for the King Richard movie.
Apparently, the whole slapping incident turned out to be an NFT collection on the biggest NFT marketplace OpenSea.
The NFTs, titled “Will Smith Slap Dao,” have a total of 1,999 JPEG images with unique meme texts. Also, the Slap Dao collection already has a total of 741 owners, with a floor price of 0.003 ETH ($10.28). Moreover, the most expensive one is currently at 69 ETH ($236,402.97).
The collection didn’t have many details on it. However, each NFT has either “Team Fake” or “Team Real” written below each image. Many people are shocked by the sudden surge of sales by the said NFT. In fact, some even expressed their disbelief with the number of sales it had for just a short time. Nevertheless, these kinds of tokens are sure to remain unpredictable.
