Privacy-focused Web3 platforms Akash and Secret Network revealed that they have collaborated with a division of the US Department of Defense (DOD). Together, the said entities have created a DOD unit website that runs on Akash.
Read CRYPTONEWSLAND onThe post that was retweeted by Akash Founder Greg Osuri said that the collaboration started in July. Specifically, Akash and Secret Network community leaders participated in the BRAVO Hackathon organized by the DOD from July 18 to 22.
The said Web3 platforms built an application that uses the so-called Secret Smart Contract, which won awards during the hackathon.
The thread also said that the Akash and Secret Network teams presented the app to Lt. Gen. Russ Mack, Deputy Commander for HQ Air Command Unit. Alongside the app, the collaborators also built a website for a DOD unit. However, other details were not disclosed yet.
What is more, the award-winning application will be unveiled by none other than the headquarters of the DOD — The Pentagon. As per an Akash validator and auditor, The Pentagon will publish an article that will provide an in-depth specification of the application in the coming months.
Akash is a blockchain-based Web3 infrastructure provider that is based in the US. Meanwhile, Secret Network describes itself as the first blockchain that offers built-in data privacy.
