The Sandbox, a leading metaverse experience in Ethereum blockchain, announced that the virtual world is launching their next big event in its metaverse space — The Sandbox Alpha Season 3.
In a tweet, Animoca Brands’ co-founder and executive chairman Yat Siu showed how excited he was with the upcoming Alpha Season 3. In fact, he considered this event as Sandbox Game’s “biggest Season yet.”
According to the blog post, this new season brings out “10 weeks of crazy summer fun in the metaverse.” Over the course of 10 weeks, Alpha Season 3 will be revealing more than 90+ experiences from The Sandbox and The Sandbox Game Maker Fund, independent creators, Game Jams, and brand partners, such as The Walking Dead, BAYC, Steve Aoki, Warner Music Group, and more.
The new Alpha Season will also grant its users a new reward system. Users will be able to get SAND token reward after completing a level and/or owning a LAND, Avatar, or NFT collection without an Alpha Pass.
Users with Alpha Pass will be rewarded with up to 500 SAND, LAND owners up to 180 SAND, Avatar Owners up to 60 SAND, and NFT owners up to 30 SAND. In addition, top ranking players will also be rewarded with a total prize pool of 1.5 million SAND tokens.At the time of writing, SAND is trading at $1.04 as per CoinMarketCap. Alpha Season is open to all for free, users just need to create an account on The Sandbox to get access to these new experiences. The first experiences of Alpha Season 3 will launch on August 24, 2022.
