The dramatic price increase is telling, especially since SLP price dipped to as low as $0.0089 just a couple of days ago. However, the price pump is not directly caused by the Axie Infinity team, as they have not rolled out the Season 20 update.
Some people suggest that the price is mostly speculative, as breeders are starting to stack up SLP since Adventure and Daily Quest rewards will be removed. However, Sky Mavis, the creator of Axie Infinity, revealed that it onboarded Philip La to its team.
