As of February 8, The Sandbox is in partnership with the French video game company — Ubisoft. Indeed, this means that the decentralized gaming virtual world project will be welcoming popular faces from the Ubisoft franchise.

In detail, Ubisoft is known for its many popular multimedia franchises. In particular, this includes Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Rayman, Rabbids, and more. To start off, Ubisoft is making a grand debut on The Sandbox with Rabbids.
To highlight, The Sandbox is a blockchain-based virtual world. Here, users and players can buy, own, and hold virtual plots of land. With this partnership, Ubisoft gets its own land in the virtual metaverse.
This patch of land will soon be run over by voxelized versions of the ‘Rabid Rabbits’ characters from the popular game — Rabbids. The Sandbox acknowledges the reason behind the partnership as a strategic move to introduce Ubisoft game IP elements into The Sandbox.
Certainly, the gaming industry went crazy after adopting blockchain power. However, this craze went even further when play-to-earn (P2E) entered the picture. Presently, it seems the emergence and growth of the metaverse is only driving further interest in the industry.

“We’re excited to bring the Rabbids to The Sandbox community and to empower players to create their own original experiences incorporating elements of our gaming IP. We can’t wait to see how they make the Rabbids’ world their own.”
Presently, Ubisoft will produce an entertainment zone with The Sandbox metaverse. This space will enable interactive experiences where Rabbids characters and items will likely make their first appearance on The Sandbox.
