FLOKI started after Elon Musk tweeted ‘Shiba Inu will get the name FLOKI’. One of Floki’s core projects is charity, it gives power and opportunity to the ‘underdogs’ — instead of venture capitalists and hedge funds.

Late last year, Floki partnered with the United Nations and NGO of Japan’s Embassy Tabitha Cumi Foundation. The partnership aimed to construct schools in every underdeveloped nation in the world.

Today, the partnership has completed the school project in Nigeria. The state-of-the-art school is now completely fenced and fully furnished.

The school features a 6 block classroom, a technical block equipped with a computer laboratory, and a library. In addition, it has a gatehouse for parents and a borehole for potable water, to serve the school and community.

“We are excited that thousands of children in Nigeria will now be able to access quality education because of Floki, said Floki team core contributor B (The Viking). “This is what happens when a crypto movement decides to be a force for good in the world we live in.”

Furthermore, a related project of Floki for the anticipated “Floki University” project will also launch this year. The team is planning to build schools in countries such as Ghana, Laos and Guatemala.

Meanwhile, this initiative follows a $1.4 million donation to Kimbal Musk’s Million Gardens Movement in 2021 to fight food insecurity.
