Cronos, the EVM compatible chain running in parallel to the Crypto.org Chain is now a few days away from introducing its own mainnet. In detail, Cronos network will launch its mainnet in the next five days. This announcement was released in the official Twitter page of the Cronos network.
The blockchain upgrade of Cronos will bring many improvements to the network. It will become the first Cosmos EVM chain for DeFi, NFT’s, and Metaverse. Furthermore, the upgrade also allows the network to have instant DApp portability. Truly, this upgrade brings joy to all the developers and users of both Cronos and Crypto.com (CRO) network.
In terms of budget, the network announced that they have a money bag amounting to $100 million to support developers building on the Cronos platform. Through this, we can say that it is only a matter of time before Cronos might introduce new technology to the crypto world.
At the time of writing, CRO, the partner of the Cronos network, continues to be one of the top 50 crypto assets in CoinGecko. It has a trading price amounting to $0.23 with a market cap of over $6 billion.
