• Brian Jung dropped out of college to become a successful YouTuber.
  • His personal finance and crypto channel has more than one million subscribers.
  • Jung makes around $300,000 monthly from his YouTube channel.

The American news channel CNBC was making stories about the Millennial Money series, where they feature how millennials around the world earn, spend and save their money. One of them was the story of the 25-year-old Crypto YouTuber Brian Jung.

At the age of 21, Jung dropped out of college and decided to be a full-time entrepreneur during late 2018. He emphasized that his decision to pursue being an entrepreneur was a “pivotal moment” in his life and it allowed him to spend more time in his channel and grow it into a business.

According to CNBC, most of Jung’s earnings came from his personal finance-focused channel that has more than one million subscribers. Majority of his earnings head towards operating costs and business tax but Jung set aside $50,000 monthly to invest in cryptocurrencies and NFTs

The YouTuber pointed out that his crypto investments are for his long-term investing strategy despite the recent deflation of crypto markets which started late last year.

Jung started his channel about finance and entrepreneurship in 2018. Due to crypto’s bull run and retail investor craze in 2021, the channel took off and gained an additional 900,000 subscribers.

The affiliate marketing, Patreon subscribers, ads and sponsorships brings in over $300,000 monthly in Jung’s business. Adding the revenue from his recently bought stake in a Japanese barbecue restaurant, Jung made almost $3.7 million last year.

In the interview, Jung said his goal for the future was “to have the largest crypto and personal finance YouTube channel,” along with the hopes that the number of his subscribers keeps on growing.
