One of the crypto personalities on Reddit claims that the Algorand ecosystem now has more than ten times the number of smart contracts throughput than Solana and any other prominent L1 platform. It is important to note that at press time, it has been proved that Algorand can do 2881 AMM-style swaps per second.

However, the Reddit author made a post about Algorand’s ability to perform these AMM-style swaps which were estimated using the assumption that an AMM swap would require four TXNS per swap.
This estimation came out to about 1625 swaps per second. According to him, this was very impressive at the time because the next fastest chain was Solana capped at being able to do 273 swaps per second.
