Tony Hawk to Auction NFTs With Physical Skateboards
  • Four out of five of Tony Hawk’s skateboards from the “Last Trick” NFT went to their new owners via an auction.
  • The “Tony Hawk Last Trick Skateboard Collection” comes with the signed NFT collectible and a signed physical skateboard.
  • Garry DeBoer was the winner for his Frontside Cab board; the other four skateboards will went live via auction recently.

Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk launched his “Last Trick” non-fungible token (NFT) collection over the NFT marketplace Autograph in December. Starting today, Hawk will auction the NFT collection of the skateboards he used during those last tricks.

The “Last Trick” NFT collectible compilation was sold via Autograph NFT marketplace, a platform founded by seven-time Bowl champion Tom Brady.

Hawk revealed the latest NFT sale of his “Last Trick skateboards” on Saturday via Twitter. In addition, collector Garry DeBoer won his Frontside Cab board.

Simultaneously, Autograph also tweeted about the event last week saying:

“Congrats to Autograph collector Garry DeBoer. A piece of Tony Hawk history is now yours to cherish forever. The remaining boards Tony used to retire five signature moves will be auctioned starting Tuesday of next week.”

In a blog post by Autograph, the latest Autograph-based Tony Hawk NFT collection will have five skateboards. Deboer will receive his Frontside Cab board next week. The “Tony Hawk Last Trick Skateboard Collection” comprises of a “3D scanned digital replica of the exact board Tony used to complete the trick” and the “physical version of that skateboard via mail.”

All the remaining four NFT skateboards will go live on auction starting on April 19, Tuesday. These skateboards including Finger Flip Skateboard, Gymnast Plant Skateboard, Magic Dance Skateboard, and Varial 540 Skateboard will be sold in an auction. 

According to Autograph’s terms and conditions, the items at the auction will be administered by the Draftkings Marketplace. Autograph has the obligation to send the auction winners with the physical skateboards thru United States Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS after the auction.
