Hong Kong Actor Shawn Yue has set a world record at an online auction for his latest NFT.

Last week, Yue’s recently launched Zombieclub Token NFT moved to pre-sale at 9 PM. In exactly two hours and 42 minutes, it became the top NFT on the NFT marketplace OpenSea. And by that, a new world record for being the first NFT to reach the top spot in a brief period of time has been set.

The actor shared on social media his gratitude for his team and all people who supported them for the unbelievable achievement. Humbly saying it’s just the beginning for them and they’re ready to charge out in Asia.

Last year, Yue was able to raise over HK$121.6 million ($15.54 million) by auctioning 14 NFTs through an online auction titled ‘No Time Like Present’. One piece of it is a Cryptopunk NFT, sold at an enormous price of HK$33.85 million ($4.33 million).

The Cryptopunk series is composed of 10,000 unique 24×24, 8-bit-style pixel art avatars. The project started in 2017 and was deemed to be among one of the first major NFT projects. Apparently, each NFT was valued at millions and collectors have named the series as “Rolex of NFTs”.

Yue held meetings in regard to the launch of the NFT for half a year before it was officially released. In addition, interested celebrities included Jay Chou, JJ Lin, Stephen Fung, Kai Ko, and Eric Chou.
