• The wallets containing 10 million or more XRP now hold 68.5% of the supply, or 46.87 billion tokens.
  • While the token is trading near $1.29, its distribution to large XRP wallets is at a record high since November 2022.
  • The $1.30 and $1.50 price resistance levels are listed, and $1.20 is the support level as per the Santiment report.

The accumulation of XRP whales has peaked at its highest level since 2022, with big wallets adding to their holdings and the market looking to recover.

Large Wallets Hold 68.5% of XRP Supply

Wallets holding at least 10 million XRP now control 46.87 billion tokens. That represents approximately 68.5% of the supply tracked in the data. The share is the highest recorded for this group since November 2022.

Santiment Intelligence reported the figures alongside its chart tracking large-wallet balances. The chart’s green area shows holdings rising across several years, despite market fluctuations. Its latest reading sits near the highest point shown in the historical record.

The data points to a growing concentration of XRP among large holders. Their combined balances have increased while the token’s market performance has varied. However, the figures do not explain why these wallets continue holding their assets.

Whale Holdings Rise While XRP Struggles Near $1.29

XRP has struggled near $1.29, according to Santiment’s accompanying market commentary. This price weakness contrasts with the continued rise in large-wallet balances. The difference shows that higher whale holdings have not produced an equivalent price recovery.

There are a few noticeable price movements in 2024 and 2025 on the chart. Meanwhile, the green holdings area follows a broader upward path across the period. This divergence separates the behaviour of large wallets from XRP’s changing market price.

Growing whale balances may reflect continued exposure among major holders. However, wallet figures alone cannot confirm their motives or future trading plans. Nor do they determine if these holders will seek to purchase additional XRP.

A larger share held by whales also does not directly measure available market supply. These wallets can transfer tokens or sell them, including through exchanges. Therefore, concentration figures should not be treated as proof of reduced selling pressure.

XRP Traders Watch $1.30, $1.50 and $1.20

Santiment identifies $1.30 as the immediate price level to watch. A sustained move above it would mark a recovery from current levels. A brief break, however, would not confirm that the price advance can continue.

Santiment considers $1.50 to be a stronger confirmation, as seen below. Reclaiming that level alongside rising whale balances would support its accumulation thesis. Without such a move, the growing holdings may remain separate from price recovery.

The level of $1.20 signifies the support level in the report. Holding above it while whale balances remain elevated would preserve the stated pattern. A sustained drop below it would weaken the price structure described by Santiment.

These levels give traders specific prices to monitor as conditions develop. The holdings data provides a separate measure of how supply is distributed. Neither indicator alone establishes the direction of XRP’s next move.

For now, the largest wallets control more XRP than at any point since November 2022. Their combined holdings stand at 46.87 billion tokens, while the market remains near $1.29. A move above $1.30, followed by a recovery toward $1.50, would mark progress against the levels cited in the report.
