- Trump-linked WLFI diversifies with $1M in AAVE and LINK tokens, enhancing its $75.32M crypto portfolio.
- WLFI partners with Ethena Labs, acquiring 741,687 ENA tokens as sUSDe integration strengthens ecosystem utility.
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency project linked to the Trump family, has significantly expanded its crypto holdings. Recent blockchain data shows a $2.5 million investment in 722.213 ETH using Cow Protocol on December 20.
This acquisition increased WLFI’s total Ethereum holdings to 15,598 ETH, valued at $52.98 million. However, a drop in Ethereum’s price reduced the portfolio’s value by $3.97 million.
Broader Cryptocurrency Investments
WLFI has also strengthened its positions in other major cryptocurrencies. Last week, it purchased 3,357 AAVE tokens for $1 million, averaging $297.8 per token. This brings its total AAVE holdings to 6,137 tokens, now worth $1.93 million despite a $135,760 decrease due to price fluctuations.
Additionally, the project acquired 41,335 LINK tokens for $1 million at $24.2 per token. The portfolio now includes 78,387 LINK tokens, valued at $1.81 million, following a notable price decline.
Ethena Partnership and New Acquisitions
WLFI has diversified further with Ethena (ENA) tokens, buying 231,726 ENA for $250,000 USDC through Cow Protocol on December 18. This transaction raised ENA holdings to 741,687 tokens, currently valued at $716,206 after a $151,580 decrease due to price drops.
The move aligns with Ethena Labs’ recent partnership announcement to integrate sUSDe as collateral in WLFI’s ecosystem.
Portfolio Adjustments and Stablecoin Strategy
The project has also realigned its portfolio to maximize opportunities. It converted 103 cbBTC holdings into WBTC using Cow Protocol after Coinbase’s delisting of cbBTC. WLFI maintains holdings in USDC, USDT, and diversified assets worth $75.32 million.
Earlier in December, WLFI invested heavily in Ethereum, Chainlink, Aave, and Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin (cbBTC). The portfolio included 8,105 ETH for $30 million USDC and 103 cbBTC for $10 million USDC. These transactions emphasize WLFI’s commitment to a diversified crypto strategy amid market fluctuations.
