VeChain Launches First Round of Voting on VeBetterDAO Mainnet

The first round of voting on the VeBetterDAO mainnet is now live, as announced by VeChain through a post on the X platform. This development marks a crucial milestone in the platform’s evolution, enabling users to engage in decision-making processes. Although the announcement did not provide detailed information about the voting process or the outcomes, further updates are anticipated soon.

Transition from Testnet to Mainnet

The manual claim of the remaining testnet rewards was recently completed, alongside the final snapshot of all activities up to June 23. In preparation for the VeChainThor (VTHO) mainnet deployment on June 28, the VeBetterDAO testnet was paused. On the same day, holders of testnet tokens B3TR, VOT3, and GM NFT observed their balances on the mainnet. 

Between June 28 and June 30, users could exchange their mainnet B3TR for VOT3, gearing up for the first voting round on July 1. Both project owners and voters are set to receive their initial rewards on July 8. Following the launch, new features, including a dApp listing validator mechanism, will be introduced incrementally.

Token Support and Trading Platforms

VeChain has recently announced support for the token on platforms such as bridge.vet, swap.vechain.energy, and VTHO.exchange. These platforms facilitate cross-chain transactions, dollar-cost averaging with VTHO generation, and token swaps as per user preferences

To celebrate the mainnet launch, VeChain has initiated a Gleam campaign offering $VET branded Tangem wallets and UFC tickets as prizes. This announcement coincides with the upcoming HiVe Summit. In response to these developments, VeChain’s VET token has seen a 2.2% increase, trading at $0.02671, and extending its weekly gains by 3%. With a market cap of $2.1 billion, VET currently ranks 49th in the market. The mainnet launch is expected to boost these coins’ prices further, with investors anticipating a breakout from key resistance levels.

Sustainability and Adoption by Various Projects

VeBetterDAO is gaining traction among projects focused on sustainability within the modern economy. The Vyvo Smart Chain, for instance, uses the $B3TR token to reward users for health monitoring. Through the Health Index, users are encouraged to lead healthy lifestyles.

Other notable applications include Cleanify, which rewards users for environmental cleanliness through actions like placing trash in bins or picking up litter. NFB Club offers audio streaming services, while Vyvo provides health management solutions. MugShot rewards users for using reusable mugs, promoting sustainability in their coffee routines.

These initiatives highlight the diverse applications and growing adoption of VeBetterDAO, emphasizing its role in promoting sustainability and healthy living.
