- The Twitter app now shows Bitcoin and Ethereum charts.
- This is possible via the collaborative efforts of the financial company Robinhood.
- Robinhood and Tradingview are advertised on each chart.
The search tab on Twitter now includes a new crypto function that allows users to look up the price of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). This is possible by entering “Bitcoin” or “Ethereum” into the search bar.
Following the announcement that Twitter will be adding a new crypto feature, this brand-new function was finally put into action. In addition to that, this has been accomplished via the collaborative efforts of the financial company Robinhood.
It’s important to note that the feature is case-sensitive. In order to see the charts, the search query that is entered has to contain the ticker code for the cryptocurrency in all capital letters. It would seem that just Bitcoin and Ethereum are supported, with no support for any other cryptocurrencies.
The popular stock and cryptocurrency trading app Robinhood is advertised under the TradingView brand on each chart. It’s not apparent whether one business or the other was responsible for implementing the change.
Twitter, meanwhile, has said nothing about the change. However, in recent months, the site has revealed a slew of new features. This includes support for Bitcoin and Ethereum tipping and different NFT capabilities.
On December 21st, one of the first accounts to draw attention to the upgrade was Documenting Bitcoin, which tweeted a snapshot of the new price index feature to its 853,700 followers.
But Elon Musk’s planned resignation as CEO complicates the timing of this announcement. People have however shown an interest in taking over Twitter, including NSA leaker Edward Snowden. The ex-NSA consultant, now 39, announced his willingness to be paid in Bitcoin (BTC) in a tweet on December 19.
