  • PostFinance plans to expand its staking service by adding more digital assets soon.

PostFinance, owned by the Swiss government, has introduced an Ether staking service. The service is available to its 2.7 million customers. This new feature highlights the bank’s efforts to embrace cryptocurrency innovation.

PostFinance offers Ether staking with a minimum amount of 0.1 Ether. This lowers the typical 32 Ether requirement for staking. Customers can stake their Ether for a fixed term of 12 weeks and earn rewards.

The bank ensures a seamless experience by integrating staking into its existing platform. Customers can view rewards in their asset statements. This simplifies the staking process and makes it more accessible.

Expanding Cryptocurrency Services

PostFinance plans to expand its crypto services by adding more digital assets. Currently, Ether is the only staking option offered. In this regard, the bank evidenced to their customers that there would be more options in the future.

This is not the first time for the bank to venture into cryptocurrencies. PostFinance started offering crypto trading and custody via Sygnum in 2023. It also created a crypto custody solution and digital asset ownership of stamps in conjunction with collectibles.

PostFinance’s entry into staking makes it easier for retail customers to participate. By offering a lower staking threshold, the bank encourages wider adoption. This move positions PostFinance as a leader in crypto innovation.

The bank’s approach supports both accessibility and transparency. Customers can stake with smaller amounts and still benefit from Ethereum’s rewards. This ensures that more people can participate in the growing crypto ecosystem.
