- SUI could target $0.83 after breaking the $0.72 to $0.75 resistance zone.
- Bullish MACD divergence offers hope despite weak momentum and negative money flow.
- Quantum-resistant upgrades strengthen Sui’s long-term infrastructure and security narrative.
Sui Network — SUI, traders finally have a reason to watch the chart more closely. SUI trades near $0.69 after months of heavy selling pressure. The token has found support around $0.65 and started building a recovery attempt. Bulls now face resistance between $0.72 and $0.75. A breakout could open a path toward $0.83. Meanwhile, Sui’s quantum-resistant upgrade adds a longer-term reason for investors to watch.
SUI Needs to Break Above $0.75
SUI remains far below the late 2025 peak near $2.10. The decline has pushed the token roughly 68% lower over several months. Recent support around $0.65 has offered buyers some relief. However, the broader trend still favors sellers for now. The immediate challenge sits between $0.72 and $0.75. A descending trendline currently limits further upside. Bulls need a sustained break above this zone. Stronger volume would make such a breakout more convincing.
A successful move could send SUI toward $0.83. That target represents roughly 20% upside from current levels. Some analysts also watch $0.85 as another potential target. Reaching that level would produce around 23% upside. Momentum indicators still show caution. The RSI sits near 44 and remains below the 50 threshold. That reading suggests buyers have not regained strong control. The CMF also remains negative near -0.09. Weak money flow therefore continues to limit bullish conviction.
Still, analysts have spotted encouraging divergence across several timeframes. Michaël van de Poppe highlighted bullish MACD divergence on daily charts. He also identified similar signals across three-day and weekly charts. SUI created lower lows while the MACD formed higher lows. Such divergence can signal weakening selling pressure. Trading volume also remains lower than during the earlier decline. Reduced volume near potential lows can sometimes support a recovery setup. However, low volume cannot confirm a lasting trend reversal.
Quantum Upgrade Strengthens SUI’s Long-term Story
Sui also continues developing quantum-resistant infrastructure for future security needs. The network confirmed plans to integrate two NIST-approved signature schemes. One system targets regular user accounts and everyday transactions. The second targets high-value Move-based vaults. Users will keep their addresses and funds during the upgrade process.
Quantum-safe vaults could reach mainnet later in 2026. Native quantum-safe accounts could follow during 2027. Meanwhile, Sui Foundation buyback activity has increased. Analyst ToreroRomero reported 9,000 SUI purchases on August 8. That purchase marked the foundation’s second-largest single-day buyback.
The downside still deserves attention. SUI could lose the current recovery setup below $0.60. Such a breakdown could expose support between $0.40 and $0.50. For now, $0.72 to $0.75 remains the key breakout zone. A convincing move above that area could put $0.83 within reach.
