• SHIB faces selling pressure as declining burns weaken a key bullish catalyst.
  • A break below $0.00000460 could expose SHIB to more than 10% downside.
  • Weak retail sentiment and delayed CLARITY Act voting add pressure to SHIB.

Shiba Inu faces renewed selling pressure as traders become more cautious. SHIB has struggled to maintain momentum after recent weakness across crypto markets. A declining token burn rate has added another concern for holders. Retail demand also appears less convincing amid broader market uncertainty. Meanwhile, SHIB now tests an important technical support area. A decisive break below support could expose the meme coin to deeper losses. Traders now watch whether buyers can defend the current price zone.

Declining Burn Rate Weighs on Shiba Inu

Shiba Inu burned more than 97 million tokens on Saturday. The increase matched the token’s rebound earlier during the week. However, burn activity has declined sharply since then. Daily burns fell to just 6.62 million tokens on Thursday. That drop suggests weaker supply reduction across the Shiba Inu ecosystem. A lower burn rate can reduce one potential source of long-term support. Traders may therefore pay closer attention to burn activity during the current pullback.

The decline also arrives as SHIB faces weaker retail demand. Meme coins often react quickly when market sentiment turns defensive. Investors tend to reduce exposure to speculative assets during risk-off periods. The recent delay surrounding the CLARITY Act vote added further uncertainty. The legislation could influence the broader regulatory environment for digital assets. That uncertainty has also weighed on overall cryptocurrency risk appetite.

SHIB Futures data shows mixed signals from leveraged traders. CoinGlass data places futures Open Interest near $43.53 million. The figure has remained relatively stable during the past 24 hours. However, long liquidations reached $172,390 during the same period. Short liquidations stood much lower at $17,670. This imbalance suggests that bullish traders have faced greater pressure.

SHIB Faces 10% Downside Risk Below Key Support

A decisive daily close below the support cluster could strengthen the bearish setup. Such a move could expose SHIB to the $0.00000405 area. That target represents more than 10% downside from the current market price. Sellers could gain confidence if price breaks below both support levels.

The Relative Strength Index also signals weakening buying momentum. The daily RSI currently sits around 49. The indicator has slipped below the important 50 midpoint. That move suggests buyers have lost some short-term control. However, the RSI has not entered deeply oversold territory.

SHIB could still recover if buyers defend the current support zone. A rebound from the 50-day EMA could target $0.00000498. That level aligns with the 100-day EMA and presents the first major upside hurdle. A stronger recovery could then push SHIB toward $0.00000538.
