The search for Do Kwon, the controversial founder of the now-defunct Terra ecosystem, has intensified, with South Korean officials allegedly admitting they have dispatched at least two individuals to Serbia to locate him.
Read CRYPTONEWSLAND onAccording to Bloomberg, the prosecutor’s office in Seoul has confirmed that members of its team had traveled to the Balkan state to locate Kwon. It seems that at least two state officials went, one from the prosecutor’s office and the other from the Justice Ministry of South Korea.
Currently, there is no extradition agreement between South Korea and Serbia. However, South Korea has revoked Kwon’s passport, making future travel more difficult.
Since 14 September, when South Korean prosecutors issued an arrest warrant for him, Kwon has been accused of being on the run, which he denied.
In the Terra ecosystem, around $60 billion worth of value was lost.
Cryptonewsland reached out to Terraform Labs for comment but did not immediately receive a reply.
