The two-day Crypto Expo 2026 event in Dubai, UAE continues to astound its visitors with insightful conversations and discussions between panelists. In detail, the many fireside chats between moderators and reputed figures in the crypto space has now shone a light onto a very interesting topic. In detail, Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization takes center stage at Dubai Crypto Expo 2026.

Real-World Asset (RWA) Tokenization Takes Center Stage

Another insightful fireside chat from Day 1 included an interesting topic about Real-World Asset Tokenization, where moderator Bilal Farooq of Banx Network, led a star-studded panel to discuss bridging traditional markets with blockchain infrastructure. To highlight, the panel included Anton Golub of RWA Labs, Faraj Abut Alibov of Stellar Development Foundation, Aurelie Dhellemmes of Canton Network, Tika Lum of KuCoin, and Estelle Roiena of the Cardano Foundation.

The buzzing topic of RWA tokenization clearly showcases how the world has moved towards tokenization at a relatively easy pace. One panelist stated that the fact that several prominent financial institutions and markets have embraced tokenized assets is one of the strongest evidence of a world moving towards adopting tokenized RWA trading and investing for the long haul.

One panelist drew attention to a previous panel that highlighted the fact that TradFi and crypto have entered the crux of their conversion points, meaning there is no more going back with the integrations, only exciting innovation to see ahead. Another panelist talks about the about of liquidity and capital tokenized RWA is bringing to the space, which includes one TradFi entity bringing in $26 billion in volume alone.

Another mentions how a 10th of the total stablecoin volume is held by financial institutions, of which 93% is held by just five large institutional firms. These moves confirm that institutional tokenization is in for the long-term and that TradFi leaders see crypto and blockchain as more than innovation, and something more solid. By going past the point of no return, institutions and crypto firms are constantly working together to ensure that all parties can succeed together.

While each panelist shares deep and insightful bits of conversation to the discussion, the talk pivoted to the importance of regulatory clarity. This is because tokenization can come with a risk if regulators are not trustworthy, after all, one must be sure that by buying the RWA token, they are ensured the ownership of the RWA asset that is linked to it. Thus, one should ensure that regulators are trustworthy and deliver more than a promise, but rather a solid asset behind the token.

On this matter Golub shares the integrity of the UAE and its VARA regulations that completely supports blockchain technology and the innovation that comes with it to improve the lives of its people, residents, investors, and all who partake in buying, holding, and trading tokenized RWA assets in the UAE.

He concludes by saying that UAE regulations have only the interests of investors and ensure that all transactions are kept transparent yet private. It is this complete display of clarity, backed by the country’s outstanding resilience in the face of challenges, the deliverance of security, and its dedication to innovation that makes UAE an ideal place to launch RWA tokenization, a feat that the country has already accomplished with its tokenized property sales through Prypco.
