• Raydium launched LaunchLab to allow fast token creation and trading directly on its decentralized exchange.
  • The new platform gives users two launch options and supports custom fees with automatic liquidity migration.
  • Raydium now competes with Pump.fun after launching its own token platform with a referral and reward system.

Raydium, the top decentralized exchange on Solana by volume, has launched its new token creation platform, LaunchLab. The announcement came on Tuesday and signals a shift in the power dynamics within the Solana ecosystem.

The new platform arrives as tensions rise between Raydium and Pump.fun. These two projects once worked closely, but competition has now replaced collaboration. Raydium’s LaunchLab directly challenges Pump.fun’s dominance in token launches, especially after Pump.fun recently launched its own exchange, PumpSwap.

Instant Token Launch with Integrated Trading

LaunchLab enables users to create tokens on-chain and trade them immediately. The tokens integrate with Raydium’s automated market maker, reducing delays in trading. The platform also supports custom transaction fees for third-party platforms and includes a referral system that rewards users in SOL.

Raydium’s move transforms it from a liquidity provider into a full-service launchpad. Users can now create tokens with two launch options. The first allows for customization, while the second—called “JustSendIt”—is a faster and simpler mode.

In the “JustSendIt” mode, once a token raises 85 SOL through a bonding curve, liquidity moves automatically to a Raydium pool. Liquidity provider tokens are then burned, and trading continues without interruption. This setup removes migration fees and minimizes friction for users.

New Incentives for Developers and Referrers

Raydium’s fee structure features a 1% trading fee. Half of the fee supports a community pool. The rest splits between RAY token buybacks and operational funding. Token creators can also earn 10% of the trading fees from their AMM pool, helping promote project longevity.

The referral program pays wallets that invite new users. Referrers receive 10 basis points of swap volume in SOL, automatically airdropped. This aims to grow user engagement while keeping platform incentives clear and measurable.

LaunchLab also offers better token visibility across Solana-based terminals and applications. This feature helps creators expand distribution and connect with users from launch day.

A Direct Response to Pump.fun’s Expansion

The timing of this release follows Pump.fun’s own launch of PumpSwap on March 20. That launch allowed Pump.fun to control its trading environment without relying on Raydium. PumpSwap has been gaining momentum quickly, making Raydium’s response timely and strategic.

Raydium’s LaunchLab could reshape the competition in Solana’s token launch sector. The rivalry with Pump.fun appears far from over.
