It is even more impressive that they are not just using the technology, but rather, have begun educating their students on it. Once launched, the course will teach students all about the technology behind the crypto industry. In fact, it will include hands-on experience for working with Web3 tools.

Given that our world is slowly shifting into Web3, it is a commendable move by both partners to take this initiative. After all, only by educating the masses can we ensure that new technology is being used ethically.

In detail, New York University School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) and the Near Foundation are partnering to launch a new ‘Web3 Learning Workshop’ aimed at students and faculty.

The course, offered through NYU SPS’s Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport, will focus on the intersection of Web3 and blockchain technologies and their applications in the sports industry.

The workshop will cover the basics of blockchain and digital assets, with hands-on experience taught by the co-founder of the Near ecosystem. In addition, students who participate in the course will be eligible for non-fungible token rewards on the Near platform.

With a shortage of qualified individuals with education in Web3, the workshop aims to prepare students for success in this growing industry. With the added bonus of claiming exclusive NFTs, it seems the eager learners are already off to a great start to trive in this space.
