- MicroStrategy Seeking Bitcoin Lightning Engineer to Build SaaS Platform.
- The move confirms Microstrategy`s commitment to Bitcoin.
- The candidate should have a prior experience in Decentralized finance.
MicroStrategy, a business analytics and software company based in the United States, has advertised a position for a Bitcoin Lightning software developer, indicating a continued push into the digital asset area.
According to the announcement, the new platform will be designed to give organizations “creative solutions to cyber-security concerns and allow new e-commerce use cases.”
The applicant should have prior expertise in developing BTC and Lightning software, as well as decentralized finance (DeFi) software. The post said that familiarity with significant open source crypto projects and cloud solutions, as well as Bitcoin Core development, was a bonus.
It is important to note that MicroStrategy has been actively pursuing Bitcoin. The company disclosed earlier this month that it was developing strategies to get numerous people into the Lightning Network.
The Lightning Network for Bitcoin, according to Saylor, who left his position as CEO this year, is “the most significant thing going on in the world of technology.” The company wants to overnight deliver Lightning wallets to 10 million clients.
Since adopting its bitcoin strategy in 2020, MicroStrategy has amassed 130,000 cash ($2.45 billion), making it without a doubt one of the top bitcoin holders.
A new hire may also be entrusted with developing decentralized financial (DeFi) technologies, according to the job description.
Decentralized finance is a form of lending based on good contracts that avoid the need for brokers or intermediaries. It often uses multiple blockchains like Ethereum, Solana, or Binance Good Chain as its primary foundation.
The CEO of MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor, is known for being a Bitcoin maximalist and has previously bad-mouthed alternative cryptocurrencies like ether (ETH). In July, he described ether as a safety at a Bitcoin conference.
