- Microsoft has partnered with Aptos for its Web3, DeFi, and CBDC solutions.
- Aptos will run validator nodes on Microsoft’s cloud computing service Azure.
- APT is seeing a 17.6% surge in the last couple of minutes after the announcement was made.
Global tech giant Microsoft has chosen Aptos as its partner for its Azure OpenAI Service. This was announced by Aptos through its social media channels.
According to the announcement thread, the partnership will enable Microsoft to provide Web3 and decentralized finance (DeFi) services through the Aptos network.
In addition, the collaboration will explore further use cases of blockchain such as asset tokenization, borderless payments, and even central bank digital currencies (CBDC), much similar to what Ripple provides.
For its part, Aptos will benefit from Microsoft’s cybersecurity infrastructure. Aptos will also run validator nodes on Azure — Microsoft’s cloud computing service provider.
At the time of writing, Microsoft has not made an announcement about the partnership — yet. Should the partnership get confirmed by Microsoft, many are expectant that Aptos’s native cryptocurrency APT will rise further in price.
Currently, APT is trading at $7.85, which is a 24-hour surge of 17.6%, as per CoinMarketCap. APT may enjoy increased valuation in the next 48 hours due to the news and it might reach up to $20 based on current trajectory.
