Flexa, a digital payments platform, announced today that the Mexican-style fast-food restaurant chain Chipotle will now accept crypto payments through Flexa.
Flexa is a merchant-focused app designed to reduce costs, settlement times, and fraud. Cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and more than 90 other currencies, were supported by Flexa.
By using the Flexa app, customers can now order food from any of the 3,000 Chipotle restaurants around the United States using their favorite cryptocurrency as payment.
To begin with Flexa payments, customers must download the Gemini or SPEDN app, where cryptocurrencies are stored, go into the nearest Chipotle restaurant, and pay with a single scan.
To celebrate Chipotle’s newly launched support, Flexa is offering a 10% discount for the customer’s next Chipotle purchase using digital currency in its app.
“All of us here at Flexa are incredibly excited to be working alongside the Chipotle team to help further digital payments innovation and make real, healthy food even easier to enjoy. We’re looking forward to continuing to enable more payment options together very soon,” as per the announcement post by Flexa.
Chipotle was one of the most recent restaurants to accept cryptocurrency payments. Some of the popular restaurants that allow cryptocurrency payments include Subway, Thelonious Monkfish, Starbucks, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Bitcoin Coffee, La Sirene, and more.
