ESPN Launches NFT of Tom Brady Docu Series

  • The Man in the Arena: Tom Brady Collection NFT dropped on April 6.
  • A second collection will drop during the series’ tenth episode on ESPN+
  • The series highlights Brady’s breakthrough of his legendary NFL career.

Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (ESPN) announced its first non-fungible token (NFT). This is in collaboration with Autograph, the Web3 brand co-founded by Tom Brady.

According to the report, the NFT launched a collection based on The Man in the Arena: Tom Brady, a 10-part ESPN+ docu-series produced by Religion of Sports, a media company also co-founded by Brady.

Specifically, the Tom Brady collection launched in partnership with Autograph and Religion of Sports. The NFT is particularly available to view on Autograph’s website and can be purchased on DraftKings Marketplace. Moreover, ESPN announced the three limited-edition “Man in the Arena” NFT covers, which include 50 Tom Brady hand-signed editions.

Co-Founder and CEO at Autograph Dillon Rosenblatt said:

“This unique collection around Tom’s ‘Man in the Arena’ docuseries marks the beginning of our relationship with ESPN. As the first NFT partner for ESPN, the possibilities across sports and technology are endless, and we couldn’t be more excited to get this content out to the world in a massive way.”

A second collection“Back in the Arena” will drop together with the launch of the tenth episode on ESPN+.

“ESPN is excited to offer our first NFTs to meet our fans at the intersection of sports, technology and content,” Vice President of Sports Business Development & Innovation at ESPN Kevin Lopes said in a statement. “Our work with ESPN Edge has led us to where we are today, exploring new, innovative ways of engaging fans, and we are thrilled to partner with Autograph for this collection and others in the future,” he added.

The Man in the Arena documentary series is directed by Gothram Chopra. The series highlights Brady and other remarkable characters interpreting the breakthrough of his legendary NFL career. It also showcases the emotional and psychological challenges of each win and loss.
