- Cumberland moved $1.41 million in POL off exchanges, potentially reducing immediate selling pressure.
- POL holds near $0.095 as trading volume rises and bearish indicators remain active.
- A break below $0.09 could target $0.089, while stronger support could push POL toward $0.099.
Polygon — POL, is seeing unusual exchange activity as a Cumberland wallet removes $1.41 million. The wallet withdrew 14.6 million POL from Binance, Gate, and Coinbase. Such withdrawals can reduce tokens available for immediate selling. However, Polygon still faces strong pressure from other market participants. Exchange supply has also climbed during the latest trading sessions. With POL near $0.095, traders now face a key battle between buyers and sellers.
Cumberland Withdrawal Offers Bulls Some Support
Analyst Nazoku reported the Cumberland wallet’s recent withdrawals. The wallet moved roughly 14.6 million POL worth about $1.41 million. Afterward, Cumberland transferred the tokens into another wallet. Large withdrawals can reduce sell-side liquidity on exchanges. Such moves may support prices when buyers maintain steady demand. However, Cumberland operates as a market maker across different trading venues. Inventory transfers can support liquidity management rather than signal a directional trade.
POL still faces pressure from other large market participants. FalconX recently deposited 14 million POL into Binance. Such deposits can increase the supply available for potential selling. The Polygon Exchange Supply Ratio has also moved higher. The ratio recently reached a two-week high near 0.00035. A rising ratio suggests more POL has entered exchange wallets. Increased exchange supply can weaken price structure when demand fails to absorb tokens.
Market activity has also increased sharply around current price levels. POL recently faced rejection near $0.98 before forming lower lows. The token then dropped toward $0.094. At press time, POL traded near $0.095 after gaining 0.98% daily. Trading volume also jumped 158% to roughly $83 million. Spot volume climbed 35% to around $8.17 million. Futures volume increased 15% to approximately $38 million.
POL Faces Two Possible Paths Ahead
Polygon’s technical structure still favors caution despite Cumberland’s withdrawal. The positive ADX index has declined for two consecutive weeks. ADX also formed a bearish crossover during the latest market weakness. Meanwhile, the negative directional index has remained relatively firm. Such a setup suggests sellers currently hold stronger momentum.
Continued weakness could therefore push POL toward lower support zones. A sustained break below $0.09 could expose the $0.089 level. Such a move would confirm that sellers remain firmly in control. Rising exchange supply could reinforce that bearish scenario. However, Cumberland’s withdrawals could help reduce short-term selling pressure. POL could defend $0.094 if buyers absorb available supply.
A successful defense could then push the token toward $0.099. A close above $0.099 would provide stronger evidence of recovering momentum. Traders should monitor exchange flows, volume, and directional indicators closely. Those signals could determine whether POL rebounds or faces another decline.
