According to a post by Arkham Intelligence on X, the transactions by BlackRock and Fidelity involved the purchase of over half a billion dollars in Ethereum. This recent transaction follows a continued move by BlackRock and Fidelity to expand their presence in the crypto industry.
Over the past week, a total of 131.741 ETH was purchased by BlackRock, including transactions as large as 10K ETH per transaction. The transactions span multiple days, with values such as 1.495 ETH ($4.28M) and 8.175 ETH ($31.02M). On the other hand, Fidelity’s FETH ETF saw a total of 108.15 ETH transferred, with transactions ranging from 1.5 ETH to 24 ETH. Notable inflows include 15 ETH ($55.95M), 24 ETH ($89.80M), and 8 ETH ($29.68M).
The investment from BlackRock and Fidelity has recorded engagement with the crypto sector. The addition of $500 million comes when Ethereum’s network activity continues to surge, advocated by the increasing adoption of decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
