- SHIB burn rate surged 6,847%, with nearly 300 million tokens removed.
- SHIB launched on Solana, expanding access across major DeFi applications.
- A rare golden cross appeared as traders await key Fed policy signals.
Shiba Inu holders received a major update after a massive spike in token burns. More than 297 million SHIB left circulation within a single day, pushing the burn rate sharply higher. The latest figures have renewed interest across the community at a time when traders are already watching several important market developments. While price action remains mixed, network activity and ecosystem growth continue to give investors plenty to discuss.
Nearly 300 Million SHIB Burned in One Day
Shiba Inu’s burn rate surged by 6,847.52% during the last 24 hours. According to data from Shibburn, 297.68 million SHIB tokens were permanently removed from circulation. Such a large increase came mainly from one burn transaction totaling 297,572,672 SHIB. Several smaller burns also contributed to the daily total. Uniswap accounted for 111,542 burned tokens. Coinbase burned 2,622,378 SHIB. Robinhood removed another 179,289 SHIB. Additional transactions added to the final figure. The sharp rise follows a broader trend.
During the last seven days, more than 394.28 million SHIB were burned. That pushed the weekly burn rate up by 1,821.15%. Looking at the monthly picture, the community removed 666.97 million SHIB from circulation over the previous 30 days. Many investors closely watch burn activity because lower circulating supply can improve scarcity. Although burns do not guarantee higher prices, strong community participation often attracts attention from traders and long-term holders.
SHIB Expands to Solana as Traders Watch Price Signals
Another important development arrived through ecosystem expansion. SHIB recently launched on Solana through Sunrise. This integration allows access to SHIB through popular Solana applications, including Jupiter, Raydium, Phantom, and Kamino. The move opens new opportunities within Solana’s decentralized finance ecosystem. Users can now trade and interact with SHIB directly inside Solana-based applications.
This reduces friction and may help increase accessibility among a wider group of users. Meanwhile, the broader crypto market remains uncertain. Investors continue monitoring economic signals ahead of the release of Federal Reserve meeting minutes. Many traders expect interest rates to remain unchanged at the next meeting, which has contributed to range-bound trading across major cryptocurrencies. At the time of reporting, SHIB traded at $0.000005893.
The token fell 0.95% over the previous 24 hours but remained up 2.09% on the week. Despite short-term volatility, a notable technical signal recently appeared on the chart. Shiba Inu recorded a daily golden cross for the first time in nearly two years. The previous golden cross occurred in November 2024. One month later, SHIB reached a high of $0.0000334. For now, traders are watching both macroeconomic developments and technical indicators to determine whether SHIB can build momentum.
