• ARB faces selling pressure as a major token unlock approaches on August 15.
  • HYPE shows strong revenue and trading activity despite cooling weekly fees and recent price weakness.
  • TRX enters an upgrade deadline with strong USDT usage, network activity, and steady price action.

The second week of August brings several important catalysts for altcoins. Arbitrum, Hyperliquid, and TRON each have different factors supporting investor interest. ARB faces a major token unlock that could increase short-term selling pressure. HYPE has strong revenue, despite a recent decline from monthly highs. TRX enters the week with a key network upgrade ahead. These developments could shape price action as traders assess risk and potential gains.

Arbitrum Faces a Key Supply Test

Source: Trading View

Arbitrum starts the week with a major supply event approaching. Around 92.65 million ARB tokens unlock on August 15. The tokens carry an estimated value of $7.37 million. The release represents roughly 1.4% of the current circulating supply. Most tokens will go to team members, contributors, and investors. Such releases can increase selling pressure when recipients choose to realize profits. Large holders already appear more cautious ahead of the event. Wallets holding 1 million to 10 million ARB reduced their supply share. The figure fell from 32.15% on August 3 to 31.74% on August 10. Still, Arbitrum has a strong long-term ecosystem story. Robinhood built a new tokenized stock chain using Arbitrum technology.

Hyperliquid Balances Growth With Falling Momentum

Hyperliquid presents a more balanced setup heading into the new week. HYPE gained nearly 5% during the past seven days. However, the token remains almost 18% below the level from one month ago. Network revenue provides a stronger reason for traders to remain interested. Hyperliquid generated around $9.37 million in fees during seven days. Protocol revenue reached approximately $6.44 million during the same period. Perpetual futures volume also reached $38.9 billion. Annualized fees remain close to $1 billion based on current activity. Hyperliquid uses much of the trading revenue for HYPE buybacks and burns. Still, weekly fees have cooled compared with the recent 30-day average.

TRON Enters a Major Upgrade Week

Source: Trading View

TRON may have the clearest catalyst among these three altcoins. Node operators must complete the GreatVoyage v4.8.2 upgrade by August 16. The Pyrrho upgrade improves Ethereum compatibility and strengthens network reliability. TRON also remains a major settlement network for Tether’s USDT. The blockchain hosts roughly $91.7 billion in USDT. That figure represents nearly half of the stablecoin’s total supply. A smooth upgrade could reduce disruption risks for exchanges and users. Network activity also remains strong, with about four million daily active accounts. Chain fees increased roughly 4.5% over the past week.

ARB faces short-term selling risks from a major token unlock. HYPE combines strong revenue with cooling weekly fees. TRON enters a key upgrade deadline with strong stablecoin activity. These catalysts could make all three altcoins worth watching closely.
