Temporary Downtime on 21 September To Fix BitMEX

• The BitMEX platform is experiencing a computing issue.
• The issue is causing connection problems in their systems.
• The team has put BitMEX in maintenance mode to fix the problem.

A BitMEX Twitter feed reports that the team is still looking into a computer platform problem that is creating connection issues in their systems, including sporadic access on API, web, and mobile as well as delays in Mark Price updates and in processing withdrawals and deposits.

At 13:05 UTC, BitMEX put the platform into maintenance mode to assist in the investigation and remedy. BitMEX will share updates as the investigation develops and they put a patch into place.

The exchange will reopen in cancel-only mode when the fix has been applied. There won’t be any Mark Price updates during the time that trading is suspended and won’t be any liquidations either.

These changes will improve the user experience for transactions on BitMEX once they have been finished. Other updates include BitMEX’s earlier announcement that it is this year’s Title Partner of TOKEN2049, Asia’s premier cryptocurrency conference that unites the world’s Web3 community.

The event will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore on 28 and 29 September – during Asia Crypto Week – and are provided tickets on their page.

The team is eager to meet people from the Web3 and cryptocurrency communities in Singapore, both on the show floor and at their booth (you can find them at Stand One) (P1).

Additionally, they have revealed that they will be providing product demonstrations, giving out limited-edition BitMEX swag and AC Milan apparel, and inviting TOKEN2049 guests to participate in the brand-new Bitcoin price guessing game.

Simply said, participants will be asked to predict whether the price of Bitcoin will increase or decrease over the course of a 10-second period. Every time a player makes an accurate guess, they will receive points, and the one with the greatest score will receive rewards.
