David is a former Principle Technical Artist for Sony and has worked on many big-budget titles. The article says Kern will be helping out with the development of the SHIB Metaverse.

Shiba Inu is a decentralized social media platform that allows users to earn rewards for their content. The Metaverse is the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s own metaverse space. It is described by developer Eric M as “a place where our community, tokens, game, ShibaSwap, and much more are going to meet together.”
More so, the metverse will be hosted on SHIB.io. It will feature 100,595 plots of land that will be made available for purchase. The project has been gaining traction lately with a number of high-profile partnerships and announcements.
With Kern on board, the team is in a good position to continue growing and expanding the SHIB Metaverse. David previously worked as a Technical Director for Technicolor Animation & Games, working on content for many AAA game titles.
Adding on, he was a Principal Technical Artist at Sony, where he is credited in 17 video games. David was also the Technical Director of the Technicolor Experience Center in Los Angeles, which developed immersive VR experiences.
