Newly-opened Bored & Hungry restaurant has become the first in the world to accept ApeCoin as payment. Located in Long Beach, CA, Bored & Hungry is dubbing itself the first ‘Bored Ape’ restaurant as well.

Aside from ApeCoin, Bored & Hungry will also accept Ethereum as a means of payment for its food. In addition, the restaurant has provided special treats and deals to verified Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) members.

Specifically, BAYC NFT holders received a free burger combo each, while Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFT owners munched on a free burger as well. What is more, the first 50 guests to the restaurant received a free gift.

Bored & Hungry is a restaurant opened by foodpreneur Andy Nguyen, who also owns a BAYC NFT himself.

Meanwhile, people expressed misgivings regarding the potential profit of Bored & Hungry. Specifically, people on Twitter commented on the issue of potentially-expensive Ethereum gas fees when paying for food using cryptocurrency.

ApeCoin price also skyrocketed in the last 24 hours. From a low of $10.64, APE is currently trading at $12.23, which is a surge of 13.5%. On the other hand, Ethereum price is still attempting to recover back to $3,500, although it seems stuck at $3,300.
