South Korean girl group MAVE is increasing its popularity across the globe despite being a newly-formed group. However, the more interesting part is that the girl group is composed of virtual personalities and not real humans.
Read CRYPTONEWSLAND onMAVE’s premiere single PANDORA bagged almost 20 million views since last month despite the girl group being composed of un-real personalities.
Fans quickly admitted that they do not like the fact that MAVE is composed of virtual idols, but they took a liking to the song. Some even said it is addicting.
Another interesting part is that those who expressed their liking to MAVE come from different countries. It could be because different cultures are opening up to K-pop, thanks to frontrunners BTS, Blackpink, and more.
Popular choreography dance group FreeMind also did the choreography of the song, and it instantly became the group’s most-viewed video.
MAVE is a crossover between artificial intelligence (AI) and the metaverse. Its four members named Siu, Zena, Tyra, and Marty, are all designed by creative artists and IT specialists. In addition, the metaverse girl group has the backing of Korean tech behemoth Kakao Corp, the developer of the popular Korean messaging app.
Specifically, Kakao has partnered with gaming company Netmarble Corp. to launch Metaverse Entertainment, which created MAVE.
