December 13 last year, the Ethereum Foundation Team first revealed its “Road to Devcon project”. They also disclosed that Devconnect is coming to Amsterdam in April 2022. The announcement came along with an update with Devcon 6, which was also revealed to take place in the first half of Q4-2022 in Bogota, Colombia.

Devconnect is a week-long conference in Amsterdam from April 18-25, 2022. This means the event is currently on its third day at the time of writing. According to the Devconnect’s website, its goal is to:

“Focus on depth-first sessions rather than size, and bring the Ethereum community together in smaller groups to talk, learn about, or make serious progress on specific subjects.”

The gathering will feature “independent Ethereum events” hosted and curated by experts in different domains in the industry. This means that participants can choose which event at a designated time and date they wish to attend.

Each of these individual events will require either private access or tickets for them to attend. It’s up to the organizers of each session (not the Devconnect team) to decide how many tickets will accommodate each of their events. There are also free events that will only require the participant’s attendance.

Individual hosts will be in charge of their own venue. Different venues all over Amsterdam will host various events during the week. The headcount limit for each conference will depend on how big the event will be. For instance, Devconnect shared on Twitter that the ongoing Hackathon event, set to accommodate 800 participants, has caused limited seats for other participants today.

People can view the list of the 67 events, schedule, organizers, and ticket information here: https://devconnect.org/schedule. To acquire tickets to an independently-hosted event, participants must visit the respective website of the organizer, linked to each schedule.
