Axie Infinity To Launch AxieCon Amid DAU Decline

NFT-based game Axie Infinity announced via its official Twitter account the first-ever AxieCon. The event is scheduled for September 7-10, 2022, and will be held at Fira de Barcelona convention center in Spain.

AxieCon: Barcelona is a physical gathering of Axie Infinity’s digital community, which includes builders, battlers, dreamers, and thinkers for three days of live Axie event. The three-day event will feature product announcements, exclusive merch, developer and community panels, governance discussions, tournaments, and exclusive parties.

Despite the event and parties, some of its users are still worried about the economy.

In fact, Axie Infinity co-founder Jeffrey “Jihoz” Zirlin shared the weekly Growth Data report that showed the daily active users dropped from 2.7 million to 843,472 on May 16th, 2022. The majority of the scholars and managers left the game due to SLP value decline and reward nerfs.

Nevertheless, Axie holders and fans can now sign up for the waitlist ticket registration. The ticket consists of two distinctions: The AxieCon pass ticket and the Dusk pass ticket.

The AxieCon pass costs $150 per ticket. It grants participants general access to AxieCon event and access to evening parties. To those who want to join evening parties but don’t want to pay for the AxieCon pass, they can purchase the Dusk pass, which costs $50. Mystic Axie holders can also upgrade their pass to get access to the Mystic Holders Party.
