For a long time, Elon Musk has been quite vocal about his love for the community-driven meme crypto. For instance, his tweets go from trashing Bitcoin to elevating Dogecoin. One tweet even said ‘DOGE to the moon’.
Similarly, he once again brings light to the fact that he believes in the power of DOGE. Specifically, he did so by responding to CNBC’s tweet about Mark Cuban’s take on Dogecoin being the best option for a promising ‘medium of exchange’.
In particular, the Shark Tank star believes that the crypto’s community is what makes it a promising candidate. To highlight, Dogecoin fulfills the necessary roles needed to be a successful mode for crypto payments.
One such reason is the fact that Dogecoin users actually do use their DOGE. In contrast, most other crypto holders do not actually use them. This is because most other cryptos are kept as investments.
However, Dogecoin is constantly in use as the community sends funds between peers and pays for goods and services. The community has even raised funds for charity. This is what helps make DOGE a viable and strong option as a means of payment.
Mark Cuban is already supporting the crypto by having his NBA team — the Dallas Mavericks, accept Dogecoin as payment for tickets and merchandise. Moreover, he says that there will be special pricing available to those who choose to pay with DOGE.
Meanwhile, some investors are still skeptical over the fact that Dogecoin has an unlimited supply. Also, DOGE is not really tied to a certain value, nor has it any actual utility. Although, none of this seems to be stopping the Dogecoin community. They still expect the coin to fly high and as the continue grows, so does this hope and possibility.
