In this tweet, we see a chart from Trading View that displays the data of value between both these types of assets. Additionally, the chart shows the value of Bitcoin and Gold and the possible gains the assets will bring to its holders. In detail, the table compares the gains between the two assets from 1 to 10 years.
As we can see from this chart the gains from Bitcoin are an unfathomably high amount in comparison to the gains that can be got from Gold. At year 1, Bitcoin promises +269% in gains and by year 10 it promises +457,703% in gains.
This is an incredibly high amount, while the gains may seem to fluctuate between years 1-10, there is no denying the fact that Bitcoin is offering only gains and no loss. However, gains from Gold cannot be said the same.
According to the chart, Gold shows a -15% loss in the first year and a -0.12% loss by year 10. Over the other years, there are gains but not nearly close to Bitcoin’s smallest gain. This is unfortunate and really brings to question where investors should put their money next.
In addition, Twitter user — Pomp is also tweeting about the same observation between the two assets. In one tweet he mentions that Gold is down by 3% while Bitcoin is up by 469,482%. To emphasize the impact, he tweets another post saying that Gold is down by 17% over the last 12 months.
Therefore, Bitcoin’s ROI is much higher in comparison to other potential inflation hedge assets. As time goes by, Bitcoin is consistently showing great strides as its continues to outperform more traditional assets. All in all, Bitcoin’s limited market cap and unique fundamental properties result in high yields in the investment sector.
