Popular NFT game Axie Infinity announced that it has launched another server dedicated to esports. This server will cater to tournaments that will be held to ensure seamless connection and exclusive entry for participants.

According to the announcement, at least 31 tournaments have already been approved by the Axie Infinity team. Moreover, they are keen to approve more tournaments before the end of the year.
As tournament prize pool, the game has committed 5,560 Axie Infinity Shard (AXS), each worth $70.07 at the time of writing.
Since the initial announcement of an upcoming esports-dedicated server, the game has received over 250 tournament proposals, wherein they approved 31 as of the moment. The first event will happen on August 21.
The announcement added:
“As the season continues, we might add a few more events where possible, especially in December…”
Meanwhile, the announcement reminded that the esports server is only a temporary solution as the team is continuously upgrading the primary game servers.
