  • AMC Theaters grants an early access event ahead of Top Gun: Maverick’s global launch.
  • Moviegoers will receive a collector’s pin, print, and NFT upon purchasing a ticket via AMC website or app.

Tom Cruise’s new movie Top Gun: Maverick will premiere today through an early access screening event. The movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski, will be released globally on May 27, 2022.

AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron announced via Twitter that fans can be the first onboard to watch the new Top Gun on May 24 at 250 AMC theatres across the US.

In addition, AMC’s top executive stated that moviegoers will receive a limited edition Top Gun NFT. This will go alongside other unique souvenirs upon purchasing tickets through AMC website or app.

AMC has been very popular for NFT fans and movie watchers in the US by providing them a non-fungible token (NFT) of their favorite shows.

Recently, AMC Theaters gave NFTs to guests who purchased and/or reserved tickets for and attended showtimes to popular movies. These include Spider-man: No Way Home (released on December 17, 2021), The Matrix Resurrections (December 22, 2021), Moonfall (February 4, 2022), and The Batman (May 4, 2022).

The early access of the movie will qualify guests for an NFT redeemable until July 1, 2022 via NFT platform RECUR.

Ticket buyers will receive a confirmation of the NFT via receipt email upon purchasing on the theaters’ website or app. After watching, an email will be sent on June 1 along with the instructions on how to claim the NFT.
