Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW22) has officially begun. The world of fashion steals the spotlight in the metaverse. A glittering line-up makes its appearance at the MVFW22. Specifically, the show will go on for 4 days — March 23 – 27.

In particular, the line-up includes luxury brands such as Estée Lauder, DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Hogan, Selfridges, AUROBOROS, and Philipp Plein. To add on, other popular brands like Vogue & Hype, Fresh Couture, DUNDAS, Karl Lagerfeld, SHOW studio, Placebo, D-CAVE, Perry Ellis America, Forever 21, and more are all taking part.

This is an incredible feat for the metaverse as many renowned brands within the fashion universe are acknowledging the technology and new digital space. Thus, with this stellar attendance at the Metaverse Fashion Week, the world now recognized it as the world’s biggest fashion-centric metaverse event yet.

In detail, the MVFW22 features AI and robots, immersive experiences, luxury wearables, and emerging ‘phygital goods’ at its event. More so, over 70 brands, artists, and designers are participating to be a part of this iconic event.

To highlight, the event is seeing a combination of digital-native brands and legacy luxury brands all in one location. In this space, both types of brands are showcasing their much-awaited wearable collections, breakthrough activation, and digital spaces in Decentraland.

The metaverse exists to bridge the gap between the physical and digital realm. Taking this philosophy to heart, the Metaverse Fashion Week aims to offer an open platform for fashion enthusiasts. Here, they can push their creative process to expand on the philosophy by breaking through tangible reality.

As the metaverse gains popularity, fashion is gaining more attention in the space. After all, when users cannot wear afford to be fashionable in the real world due to mundane limits, the metaverse provides an opportunity.

With this point of view, leaders in the space are bringing together diversity, community, decentralization, sustainability, self-expression, and more to usher in a new era for fashion within the metaverse.
